Our Core

Values

What you value determines what you do. We are intentionally focused on the following core values, and they direct all that we do as a church.

We Value: The Word of God

The Bible is God’s Word, and as such it is the standard for both life and ministry.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17

We Value: Discipleship

As we follow Christ, we are being transformed into His image as He continually works within us.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!”

2 Corinthians 5:17

We Value: Families

Families” description to say: “Because prioritize investing in the entire family and in the ministries that reach the next generation.

“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.”

Matthew 28:18-20

We Value: ReaChing The Lost

Jesus came to reach the lost, and He has commissioned His Church to carry on this mission.

“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.”

Matthew 28:18-20

We Value: Unity

A healthy church is one that comes together in harmony and unity, growing in Christ with one another.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”

Psalm 133:1

We Value: Generosity

We serve a generous God, and so we will do so generously.

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Acts 20:35

Our

Beliefs

God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus lived a sinless, human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Holy Spirit

All believers receive the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God) when they receive Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives at salvation. However, believers are also entitled to and should expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit. We believe this was the normal experience of Christ followers in the early Christian Church. With the Holy Spirit baptism comes power for life and service.

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

The Church

The Church is the collective Body of Christ in this world. As such, we have been entrusted with the continuation of His mission to “seek and to save that which was lost.” Each follower of Christ is part of that body, and has been tasked with the responsibility of the Great Commission.

Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we repent of sin, confess Jesus as Lord, and turn from our self-ruled life, we are saved.

Divine Healing

All through the centuries since the time of the apostles, there have been individuals who had faith in God for the healing of their bodies, and where New Testament faith has been found, miracles have taken place. We believe Jesus paid the price for divine healing through the atonement…and with His stripes, we are healed.

Eternity

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
